Established in 1949

The All China Women's Federation (ACWF) is the biggest women's organization in China . The federation is an advocate of women's rights and interests that promotes gender equality.

Through the cooperation between the All China Women's Federation and the Hanns Seidel Foundation emphasis is placed on enhancing women's role in family and society and promoting professional career of women.

Activities are to be implemented as follows :

•  Information exchange between political representatives from Germany and China

•  Symposia and seminars centering around gender equality and participation of women in China and Germany

•  Vocational training of women from Western China

•  Promotion of business start-ups (Micro credits)
