Established at the beginning of the 30ies

The Central Party School (CPS) is the most important education institution of the Communist Party of China. It is responsible for training upper-middle-level cadres and political leaders and is an important think tank that drafts political expertises for the Chinese government.

Through the cooperation between the Central Party School and the Hanns Seidel Foundation special emphasis is placed on the academic and policy dialogue that focuses on socio-political, legal, economic and cultural topics.

Activities are implemented as follows:

•  Transformation and institutional change dialogue program

•  Symposia and seminars in China and Germany

•  Research scholarships for young academics

•  Information exchange and discussion forums with political representatives from Germany
